Identification system on only one database whatever the origin of your non conformity is : environment, security or quality :
1) The id must set the non conformities apart so that you can use the selection mode by "id beginning with".
For exemple, you can set figures or letters : 1 for quality, 2 for environment, 3 for security.
2) The id can refer to the person who declared the non conformity.
For exemple : 1-DL refers to a quality non conformity declared by Daniel Legrand.
3) The end of the id makes it unique
Example : 1DL-100212-1 refers to the quality non conformity declared by Daniel Legrand on 12th Ferbruary 2010 and it was the first declaration of the day.
Of course, many other identification systems exist.
You can use the identification that was set in the company before you bought D2M. You can also use an automatic number (=> See trick Set an automatic number)
If you change the identification of a non conformity that is already saved, the saving will not be damanged because each non conformity form wears a unique number.
